To ensure your health and safety while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, daily health checks are performed by trained guides during the trek, and you must arrange a thorough medical check-up with your doctor before your trio.

Before climb, you should know everything about gear for climbing the highest mountain in Africa.

A Kilimanjaro packing list requires layered clothing, sturdy, broken-in hiking boots, a warm sleeping bag, and essential personal gear like a headlamp, trekking poles, and sun protection. Avoid cotton clothing entirely, as it does not dry quickly and can lead to hypothermia.

Travel Insurance

Vaccination to Tanzania

While no vaccinations are mandatory for the Kilimanjaro climb itself,
a Yellow Fever vaccination is required if you are arriving from or transiting through a high-risk country. It is also highly recommended to get vaccinations for Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and to ensure routine vaccinations like MMR, Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Polio are up to date. A rabies shot may be considered depending on your pre- or post-climb activities.
